You can browse our website without disclosing any personal information.

The information we will collect includes: your name, address, phone number, email address, and credit/debit card details (which are inaccessible even to us from moment of purchase). We do not collect sensitive information about you and the information we do hold we endeavour to keep accurate and up-to-date.
2.3 Coolcanals will not send emails to you unless you have given us your consent by registering for our Newsletter, or unless we need to in relation to an order or enquiry you have raised with us. Our emails always include an option to 'unsubscribe'.
2.4 In accordance with the law, you can if you wish contact us to check the information we hold about you and we will amend it accordingly if inaccuracies are found. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.

5. Placing an order with us
5.1 When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods.
5.2 Images of products on this website are for illustrative purposes only. Your goods may vary slightly from the image shown on the website and will not include any of the pictured accessories, unless stated in the specification of the goods.
5.3 We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our images on this website. However, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the actual items.
5.4 Whilst we try to be as accurate as possible, all information provided is approximate and is provided in good faith.
5.5 In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or that we have made a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this and if your credit/debit card has already been charged for the purchase we will promptly issue a credit via Paypal for the amount of the incorrect price or the amount of the goods we can no longer supply.
5.6 By placing an order with us, you agree to and accept these terms, as well as our privacy policy and the terms of website use.

6. How to place an order
6.1 You can use our website to place an order by selecting the product you wish to buy and adding it to your basket. Items you do not require can be removed from your basket at any time.
6.2 Postage charges (FREE to buyers in the UK) will be shown prior to you placing your order.
6.3 You will be required to pay for the goods in full at the time of ordering.
6.4 We use secure payment facilities for online purchases via PayPal.
6.5 All prices quoted on our website are in UK pounds and include Value Added Tax at the current rate and FREE postage to buyers in the UK (please contact us for overseas postage costs).
6.6 Once your order has been confirmed, changes may not be possible or may incur additional charges or delays.

7. Discounts
7.1 Friends of Canal & River Trust are entitled to a special discount of 35% on any books sold through this website; however the discount is not available on other items unless specifically stated.
7.2 To receive your discount, enter your Membership Number during the checkout process.

8. Delivery & postage charges
8.1 We aim to dispatch goods within 7 working days.
8.2 If you have ordered several items, your order may be split into more than one delivery.
8.3 Our prices include FREE delivery to anywhere in mainland Great Britain and Republic of Ireland. We can also deliver to Europe and the Rest of the World, but this will incur additional postage costs (please contact us for postage quotes).
8.4 Please check the goods on delivery - any goods found to be missing or damaged should be notified to the delivery driver at the time of delivery or to us within a reasonable time.
8.5 If the goods are lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage if you instruct a delivery company to leave the goods unattended.
8.6 Sometimes, for reasons beyond our control we may be prevented from delivering your goods as planned. These might include things such as accidents, breakdowns, fire, flood, storm, severe weather, acts of god, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage or the default of our suppliers. We will try to put things right as soon as possible however we cannot be responsible where this causes a delay or failure in delivering your goods.

9. Faulty goods
9.1 If there is a problem with the goods, please notify us by email or in writing providing details of the problem. It's helpful if you can provide us with a digital photo of the problem as this normally saves you having to return the goods for inspection. We will deal with the matter in accordance with your legal rights.
9.2 If an exchange is necessary, this will be arranged without unreasonable delay and without charge. Replacement goods will not be dispatched until the original goods have been received at our warehouse and checked. The cost of returning goods to us is your responsibility; however on inspection we will refund your reasonable postage costs, providing that the goods are found to be faulty. If the goods are not faulty, we will return them to you, however you will be required to cover our reasonable postage costs.
9.3 Within the time scale as stated by our legal requirements we will replace defective goods free of charge, at our discretion, providing that you have returned to us any faulty goods upon request.
9.4 If an item is no longer available we will offer an alternative. However our liability will be to replace the faulty goods only and we are unable to guarantee an exact match. In this instance you will have the option of a refund.

10.1 The products sold on this website have been designed to comply with all relevant UK legislation. We cannot warrant or represent that they comply with any legal requirement outside the UK.
